The roaring boom of every social networking site goes on to underline one thing for sure, that we, humans, have a desperate thirst to socialize. Well, the expansion of these sites is certainly a super gift to all of us. The ease and comfort with which one can manage his social life sitting in front of his computer, sipping coffee and probably even working at the same time, is something that largely amazes every prior generation. However, the sincerity that the young guns of our generation are pouring in on building their virtual world on these sites, is a huge concern to every caring parent.
The craze of these social networking sites like Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and many more, is catching on just as cell phones did a few years ago. The point, however, that many fail to see, is that these sites are dragging them to yet another human-grown competitive world, which eventually shall earn them nothing if they keep on investing such enormous time in to it. People tend to throw open every ongoing activities of their life on such sites and make an attempt to share all the events they recently were a part of.
Although, these sites are most certainly the easiest and cheapest way to stay linked up with your friends, the extent to which they are been used is not healthy in any ways. The youngsters, most of them, make a vigorous effort to maintain their virtual life updated. This often, as parents claim, drifts away these kids from the real, social and not-so-sweet world. This virtual world and excessive addiction to it, as is with most users, often takes out and kills the true human spirit to interact with one another. This fact is easily evident when you see a small group of college kids discussing their virtual lives, instead of something more meaningful.
The use and help of these sites to every human is huge and there are no two ways about it. But, what our upcoming generation is failing to realize is that their such loyal crusades to stand strong and tall in the virtual world, is certainly poisoning their foundation to the more intellectual yet cunning, hard-working yet betraying, prospered yet developing, and most importantly, 'the fake yet true world'.
